ciele athletics, a rapidly growing athletics brand based in montreal, canada, is on the search for a new team member to join our sales team, based on our head office.
the inside sales representative will play a critical role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives in the wholesale channel. the person in the role must be comfortable an excellent communicator with comfort making both cold sales calls and managing existing accounts, pulling reports using our ERP system, prospecting new partners, managing open order books, and general administrative needs for the wholesale channel. this person should be detail oriented, and excel in analyzing data – inventory reports, sell through reports, historical sales data – to provide insights to optimize sales performance. they will also support with creating credit memos, and sending suggested orders. this role is primarily office based at ciele HQ in montreal, but there is a potential for travel to key trade shows.
we are a small team in a quickly evolving environment. as a result of that, the exact needs and tasks of the position can change often. we are looking for someone who is open to change, who thrives in an agile and fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
this is the first role of its kind for ciele. they will work closely with the rest of the sales team for canada and the united states, the product team, finance team, and marketing team.

primary responsibilities :
we are looking for someone who will communicate with existing customers, making outbound calls to potential customers, and following up on leads. they should be capable of understanding sales data (RCIS, Lightspeed, SPS, etc), finding insights, and sending suggested orders per account based on the data. they will answer existing and prospective customers questions, and send additional information. they will manage and update the CRM as needed. they will support managing the open order book with the sales team. they will search for new customers and project manage those leads. they will support the team’s sales targets by working with retailers to help drive sell through best. they should continuously review and improve processes for inventory tracking, GTM planning, sales booking and repeat business, sales reporting, customer management and customer communication. where possible, they should implement tools and techniques to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of data management.
required specific qualifications :
- education: bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data analytics, or a related field preferred.
- experience: 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or a similar role.
- strong experience in inventory management and data analysis.
- proficiency in microsoft excel and other data analysis tools (e.g., tableau, power bi).
- experience with CRM software (e.g., salesforce) and ERP systems.
- analytical mindset: ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings clearly and concisely.
- communication: exceptional verbal and written communication skills, in both english and french
- organizational skills: strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
